Every item belongs to a consignor. Every sale affects a commission. Every payout needs to be recorded correctly. Store owners must know what is available, what has sold, what has been paid and exactly how much each consignor is owed.
When those records are spread across paper tags, spreadsheets, Shopify products and handwritten notes, even a simple sale can create extra work.
That is why we built JustConsignIn—consignment management software designed specifically for stores using Shopify and Shopify POS.
We are now looking for a small group of consignment, resale and secondhand store owners to help beta test JustConsignIn in real retail environments.
## What is JustConsignIn?
JustConsignIn is a Shopify consignment app that helps store owners manage consignors, inventory, sales and payouts from one organized system.
Instead of forcing a traditional inventory system to handle consignment, JustConsignIn connects every consignment item to the correct consignor from the moment it enters your store.
The app is being built around the daily workflow of a real consignment business.
With JustConsignIn, you can:
- create and manage consignor accounts
- assign custom commission percentages
- add manual and Shopify consignment items
- create Shopify products from consignment inventory
- choose whether products are available through Shopify POS, the Online Store or both
- track available, sold and paid items
- connect Shopify sales to the correct consignor
- see exactly how much each consignor is owed
- record payouts by cash, e-transfer or store credit
- review sales and payout history
- manage your consignment business from a phone, tablet or computer
## Why we built JustConsignIn
JustConsignIn started with a real business problem.
A local consignment store was managing incoming products, consignor information, sales and payouts using paper tags and spreadsheets. The process worked, but it required repeated data entry and made it difficult to see the complete history of an item.
We wanted to create a simpler system that works with Shopify while respecting the unique way consignment stores operate.
Shopify provides powerful tools for selling products online and through Shopify POS. A consignment business must also track item ownership, commission percentages and money owed to individual consignors.
JustConsignIn is being developed to connect both sides of that workflow.
## Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a limited number of beta users who currently operate a:
- consignment store
- children’s resale shop
- clothing resale boutique
- vintage clothing store
- furniture consignment store
- bridal consignment shop
- sporting goods resale store
- collectibles or hobby consignment store
- thrift or secondhand shop
- Shopify store that sells products on behalf of other people
The best beta testers will already use—or seriously plan to use—Shopify or Shopify POS.
You do not need to be highly technical. We especially want feedback from store owners who need software to be straightforward, mobile-friendly and easy for employees to learn.
## What beta testers will be asked to do
Selected beta users will test JustConsignIn using real consignment workflows and provide honest feedback about what works, what feels confusing and what could save more time.
Testing may include:
1. Adding consignors and commission percentages.
2. Entering new consignment inventory.
3. Creating Shopify products from consignment items.
4. Publishing items to Shopify POS or the Online Store.
5. Recording manual and Shopify sales.
6. Reviewing unpaid sold items.
7. Calculating and recording consignor payouts.
8. Testing the app from a phone, tablet and desktop computer.
9. Reporting errors, missing features or confusing screens.
10. Sharing suggestions based on how your store operates.
We are not looking for people to simply click through a demo. We want real consignment business owners who can help us test complete workflows from item intake to consignor payout.

## Consignor management
Create a complete record for every consignor, including contact information, commission percentage, notes and store-credit balance.
Each consignor’s inventory, sales and payout history remains connected to their account.
## Consignment inventory tracking
Track every item using a unique consignment item number.
Items can include a product title, description, category, brand, size, condition, price, consignor, commission percentage, availability status, sale price, sale date and payout status.
## Create Shopify products from your phone
Turn a consignment item into a Shopify product without entering the same information twice.
Store owners can prepare product information, pricing, images, tags and search-engine details before choosing whether the product should be available through Shopify POS, the Online Store or both.
## Shopify POS consignment sales
When a consignment product sells through Shopify POS, JustConsignIn helps connect that sale to the correct item and consignor.
This provides a clearer record of what sold, who owned it and what the store owes them.
## Manual sale tracking
Not every consignment sale begins as a Shopify product.
JustConsignIn also supports manual items and manual sales, allowing stores to manage Shopify and non-Shopify consignment inventory in one system.
## Consignor payout management
View sold items that have not yet been paid out, calculate the amount owed and record the payment method.
Once a payout is completed, the item moves from Sold · Unpaid to Paid, creating a clear payout history for the store and consignor.
## Why your feedback matters
No two consignment stores operate exactly the same way.
Some stores pay consignors monthly. Others pay on request. Some sell almost entirely through Shopify POS, while others combine in-store sales, online orders and manually recorded items.
A useful consignment inventory management system must work in real stores under real conditions.
Beta testing helps us identify:
- steps that take too long
- information that is difficult to find
- features that need clearer instructions
- mobile screens that need improvement
- store workflows we have not yet considered

We want to learn these lessons directly from consignment store owners before the public release.
## Is JustConsignIn available in the Shopify App Store?
JustConsignIn is currently going through the Shopify App Store review process.
That means it does not yet have a public Shopify App Store installation page. We are accepting beta applications now so we can identify suitable stores, learn about their current workflows and prepare onboarding as access becomes available.
Submitting a beta application does not automatically install the app or provide access to your Shopify store.
